7 High Street

Jervis Bay house

for a quick sale.

This house is for sale and the price has been reduced significantly to meet the market.

It was built in the 50's and was a much loved home for many years

The current owner has made it available to the lucrative holiday market for the past 8 years.

The house has many repeat visitors and is much sought after as a holiday destination.

The owners need to relocate,

and can no longer manage the busy holiday rentals on this property,

and have decided to reduce its price significantly

to allow them to focus in other areas of their life.

If it does not sell at this price, they will consider employing property management services

to manage bookings and to care for the property.

Incredible atmosphere and charm, this comfortable and cosy three bedroom cottage is going to lure and romance you into it's clutches.

Original polished timber floors, slow combustion fireplace and lovely open plan living areas all add to the overall feel.

The block is stunning with a perfect balance of magestic shade trees and an array of garden nooks,

to seriously appreciate this property you need to spend some time here, call and arrange an inspection.

The House:

The house is set back on a large block of land, allowing about 6 metres for future extensions to the front of the building up to the streets 'building line'.

There is vehicle access to the backyard on both sides of the house into a large backyard.

The house has 3 bedrooms, a large lounge/dining/kitchen area, and a recently renovated bathroom.

All floors are polished timber, and in good condition.

Heating, although rarely required in this climate, is with a enclosed wood fire.

All wiring and plumbing is in good condition.

The roofing iron was replaced about 5 years ago and is in excellent condition.

The gardens are easy care and low maintenence, with glimpses of the water views through the trees.

An excellent deck has been added at the back of the house, and is an ideal place to sit and enjoy the garden.

The house has a second approved toilet in the garden, along with the original laundry, currently utilised as a storage area for gardening tools etc.

The opportunities presented by this property are endless, but most importantly, it is a great place to spend time until you decide what you want to do do to it, if anything.

Currently it provides a modernised lifestyle flavoured with the great 1960's era when it was first built.

The Area:

Erowal Bay is a small sleepy village on the waters edge a few kilometres from Vincentia and Huskison.

The closest villages are HYAMS BEACH and WRIGHTS BEACH, both a short walk away.

Unlike much of the Jervis Bay area, which is becoming increasingly popular and is quickly being developed,

it is unlikely that Erowal Bay will grow very much, and yet it is so close to everything.

Surrounded by bush and water, at the end of a short road, it is bound to become more sought after as the years go by.

Kangaroos can always be seen lying quietly on the nature strips, watching you as you drive through Erowal Bay.

This delightful property known as HideAway is fully landscaped and ready to move in to,

and is now on the market for $299,000

Last week a small bare vacant block just around the corner from this house, sold for $285,000, making this property a bargain.

There is a shortage of rental properties in the area, if you wish to rent the property out permantly for a while,

or the vendor is prepared to assist you with the relevant information, if you wish to continue to offer the property for holiday rentals.

Erowal Bay is approximately 3 hrs from Sydney and 3 hrs from Canberra.

Guest Reviews

  • Pleasantly surprised by how much the accommodation exceeded our expectation. The modest external appearance concealed a very cosy.  John - February 2009
  • We had a wonderful time staying in Hideway. We really enjoyed the cottage, and were pleased to find it really clean and so well equipped. We also really appreciated how helpful the owners were - they came over straight away to fix a problem we had with the barbeque. We'll definitely stay here again.        Anonymous- February 2009.
  • Great place. Very small but all we needed for a family of 4. Lovely back yard and kangaroos in the garden. Catherine - November 2007
  • My husband and I spent a week here over Easter holidays and had a great time. The house had all we needed to make our stay comfortable. It had a really nice feel and the decor was very shabby chic! The price was also really reasonable and we found owner very helpful in accommodating us. We look forward to coming back again!          Jedda - April 2007
  • "I'm glad we have discovered your fantastic house in such a great location. It reminds me of beach houses from my childhood- modest fibro shacks with no pretension but everything one needs when on holiday. And Hideaway had those extras which probably didn't feature in the beach shacks of my youth- a comfortable bed, a kitchen with good utensils, etcetera. We were grateful for the DVD player, and loved the big red couch."
